We all know how important it is to be organized when running anything and having a team leader or fundraising chairmen is a very important part of being organized!
There has to be one person who is in charge of the coordinating of your fundraising campaigns... One person where the buck stops at!
But leadership and responsibility still needs to come from everyone involved as you'll need to spread the workload etc.
And when organizing your fundraisers please remember those very wise words from Benjamin Franklin...
"By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail."
Organization or Fundraising Website:
Your Church must have a fundraiser website! Yes that's right, a website where you can post all your news and promote your fundraising events and campaigns!
Having a website opens up the most amazing amount of fundraising potential that you just don't want to miss out on!
You can easily build your own website with the
guidance from SBI!
Or if you would rather a professional does it for you I'd recommend you use
Sitesell's Services
.
Pick The Right Fundraising Ideas:
It is very important to pick the right Church fundraiser ideas to do.
Not all ideas will work with your particular Church. So by picking the ideas that will fit best, you will be increasing your success and profits!
So I would suggest that you read through all the ideas on the Church Fundraising Ideas page and choose the ones that will fit best with your Church!
Or a
Supporter Wall
on your website, which is essentially Crowdfunding. It will look just like RFI's Site Sponsor Wall (obviously customized to your preference), and works really well if you promote it effectively.
Fundraising companies are focused on delivering fundraising products and solutions that will make your fundraisers as profitable and convenient as possible.
They have been helping loads of organizations and causes to raise large amounts of funds for ages now and they have the stats and testimonials to prove it...
So using a quality company is of the utmost importance and will really help your fundraising campaigns!
For USA and Canadian fundraisers I have set up a link with
eFundraising
to provide you with the best fundraising options available.
If you are not from the US or Canada then I would suggest you do a Google search to find a fundraising company in your country below...
(A Tip: Type the name of your local area or country with a plus sign before it, and then add your search query with a plus sign before it as well. Ex. +england +fundraising product supplier)
Have a "To Do" Check List:
You must sit down with your fundraising committee and come up with a "to do" check list. Write the list in an order of importance.
This list will help you keep on track and on top of everything that needs to be done.
You should also then delegate the jobs out evenly among your volunteers and helpers. Get them to sign the jobs off as they are done.
If you're on your own you'll have to do it all yourself, but start with the most important jobs first. I would suggest though that you always have at least one person helping you.
Run Enjoyable Church Fundraisers:
Always remember to make all your church fundraiser ideas really fun and exciting...
If people enjoy them, they will be more inclined to help out again next time!
Thank:
Always be conscious and proactive about thanking everyone who has attended, helped or supported your Church fundraiser ideas.
Make them feel appreciated and special!
Not only is this good manners, but by doing this you will also be ensuring that those supporters and volunteers will be back next time to help out again!
And One Extra Suggestion:
Continually educate yourself!
The more you keep learning, the greater your fundraising effectiveness will be...
