1. Important Announcements:

1.1. Rob's Report

So I hope that you are all back in the swing of things after the festive season and new years. I am certainly and this last month has been spent doing some heavy research finding new and better resources for your fundraising!

In my quest to provide you with the best information available I want to make sure that I find the best and most reliable services and products for any type of fundraising. And I'm happy to say that I've made some excellent progress. So in the next couple of months expect some recommendations for excellent fundraising products and companies to help with your fundraising on Rewarding Fundraising Ideas.

And to start you off...

1.3. Easy Fundraising Ideas Acquires Fast Track Fundraising

The fundraising company Easy Fundraising Ideas acquired their competitor Fast Track Fundraising at the end of last year and has taken over their website. Fast Track Fundraising's website is still operational and you can use it to order fundraising products, the only difference now is that the fundraisers that are available are all of Easy Fundraising Ideas' fundraisers.

2. Idea in the Spotlight:

Basketball Tournament Fundraiser

This is a great fundraising event that will obviously be for specific fundraising causes... Causes that have supporters who enjoy basketball, play basketball, or for causes that are involved with basketball like Schools or Clubs.

This event provides a few ways of fundraising and if you full your playing field and promote it properly you should raise a good deal of funds.

A Basketball Tournament Fundraiser is set up like any other sports fundraising event and will take focused organization and planning. Here are a few things you will need to organize...

  • Find and book a Venue.

  • Fill your playing field with teams.

  • Find sponsorships, advertisers, and prizes.

  • Plan all fundraising methods for the day.

  • Registrations on the day.

  • Refereeing and/or officiating.

  • Audio system and then announcements.

  • Plus more...

3. Tips & Techniques:

Brilliant Crowdfunding Promoting Tips

For many causes, Crowdfunding is one of my most recommended fundraisers. It's such a simple and Hassle-Free fundraiser, that can help you reach your fundraising goals easily and quickly...

But it can also be just as easy to have a complete failure, which means that you have to do things properly to have a successful Crowdfunder!

So here are some short bulleted points for promoting your Crowdfunding campaign...

  • Simply put: Promote in a way that gets people to donate. Connect and tell your story!

  • Don't only ask for support through donations... Also ask for people to spread the word further.

  • Plant some seeds by getting close friends to start the donations by donating themselves, and by sharing the fundraiser through the Social Media toolkit on your campaign page.

Having these donations & shares visible on your page will help grow confidence in others that your cause is a REAL and WORTHWHILE fundraising cause!

  • Certain methods will have better conversions while others will promote to more people. Know the difference...

Face to Face or direct contacting will have better conversions while Facebook sharing will reach more people. Use both methods and keep a good balance.

  • Start by getting the word out far and wide through Facebook, Twitter and other social media Platforms.

  • Seed your Social Media Toolkit by using the buttons yourself and getting your friends to do the same... Once again when visitors see that others are sharing your page via social media they'll do the same. Strange but true.

  • For organizations use your organization Facebook Page & for individual once off Fundraisers setup a Facebook Group.

  • Setup your Facebook Group/Page info and about section in the same emotionally connecting way as your campaign page. Use photos and videos on your Facebook Group or Page.

  • Then Invite or Add all your friends & contacts to your Facebook Page/Group, encouraging them to do the same.

  • Post updates on your Facebook Page/Group, and on Twitter, at least once a day and whenever someone donates to you thanking them...

  • When thanking a new donor in a post always ask for everyone else to do the same as the donor (that is, to donate)!

  • Also use your Personal Facebook account to share & promote your Crowdfunder.
