Idea in the Spotlight:A Fundraising Toolbar - An Easy Fundraiser Idea:This is such an amazing fundraising tool that every non-profit should be using. It is a toolbar that supporters can load onto their internet browsers that will link to pages on your fundraiser website, and will raise you funds when they do searches off it. First of all it is a great way of keeping people up to date with what's happening in your organization as they have a quick link to your website right on their browser screen all the time. You can of course update it and post links to recent news ect. This is a fantastic way of staying in front of your supporters and for building relationships with them... See the below article. Secondly it can potentially raise you funds every time someone searches the web with its search application. If one of your supporters searches with it and clicks on one of the sponsored listings then you will earn about $0.10 for that click. Not a huge amount I know but consider that the majority of your supporters will search the web quite often and that if they're all using your toolbar those 10 cents can start adding up to something significant. So here it is: This fundraiser is free to set up! It's simple to set up! It is an easy way for you to keep in contact and in the minds of your supporters... And it can raise you funds from something that people do every single day without you having to promote it constantly! If you are not using this easy fundraiser idea than you are losing out! Tips & Techniques:Building Relationships: A Priority For All Non-ProfitsThe building of solid relationships with your donors and supporters should be a priority for all non-profit organizations. The bigger and better the relationships you have; the better and longer lasting support you'll receive from your donors and supporters. Without any relationship with your supporters how are they able to distinguish between your cause and any other cause out there? But if you have a relationship with them you will be foremost in their mind when it comes to supporting a cause! So How Do You Build Solid Relationships? There are loads of different ways but for one you need to keep in constant contact. Use e-Zines, newsletters, thank you letters, fundraising reports, make personal phone calls, and invite them to events (not just fundraising events). Social media is another great way to keep in contact with your supporters and to build relationships with them. Use Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn... You should also use the above fundraising Toolbar. Just always remember to keep it interactive with your supporters, make them feel involved and to also give them recognition for help as much as possible. People love being noticed and thanked, and that's one of the most powerful ways of keeping them coming back and supporting again and again! So take your time to thank people and build long lasting relationships with them. That way you will have a much stronger supporter's base!
