Kindy Art Auction

Every year our country town hosts an Art Auction to raise money for the local Kindergarten.

The art is donated by local artists. The artwork includes; jewellery, paintings, photographs, and more.

The profits from this annual auction is between $10,000 - $15,000 - due to the quality of the artwork.

The local Auctioneer donates his time to run the auction. There is an entry fee and a bar to help raise money. There is also a raffle with a lot of prizes donated by local businesses.

The kids all paint a picture too and these are sold during the day when people come to view the artwork (usually sold to the Mum's or Grandparents).

The costs include hire of the hall and framing for some of the pieces.

This has been running for about 5 years now and it gets better every year.

Who's going to say no to a donation for the kids Kindy ;)
